Hi, I’m Rachel schaffer, LMSW.
Rachel is a licensed Master of Social Work who is actively working toward clinical licensure. She began her academic journey by earning a psychology degree from the University of Tennessee. Following her graduation, Rachel dedicated a decade to public service with the State of Tennessee, where she assisted applicants for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits.
Driven by a desire to make a greater impact in her community, Rachel pursued and successfully completed her Master’s in Social Work at the University of Kentucky in 2024. She is skilled in utilizing evidence-based practices to provide effective counseling services.
Rachel is committed to being a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic presence for individuals, families, couples, and children of all ages and backgrounds. She is dedicated to supporting clients through their unique challenges with compassion and professionalism, walking alongside them on their journey.
Rachel specializes in working with families within the foster care system and the complex emotions surrounding these situations. Additionally, she utilizes evidence based treatments such as Solution Focused approaches, CBT, and DBT.
