Hi, I’m Kristi Thomas, Ed.s
Kristi Thomas is a Licensed School Counselor who is currently pursuing her path to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor after earning her Ed.S. in Professional Counseling from Lincoln Memorial University. This achievement marks the fulfillment of a long-standing goal, and she is deeply passionate about continuing her journey in the counseling field.
Kristi understands that beginning a healing journey can feel overwhelming and even intimidating. She recognizes that taking the first step—and finding a therapist you truly connect with—can be one of the hardest parts of the process. With this in mind, her goal is to create a space where clients feel welcomed, supported, and genuinely cared for. She strives to meet each client exactly where they are and walk alongside them as they begin their counseling journey.
Kristi utilizes a holistic, client-centered approach to counseling, recognizing the connection between mental, emotional, and physical well-being. She incorporates evidence-based techniques and tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. She believes that every person is the expert of their own life and is committed to supporting clients in their self-exploration, growth, and healing.
For clients who wish to incorporate their faith into the counseling process, Kristi is open to integrating faith-based perspectives and values into sessions. She respects that this is a deeply personal choice and ensures that faith is only included when it is important to the client. For those who prefer a fully clinical approach, sessions will remain centered solely on their individual goals and needs.
She is particularly passionate about working with individuals ages 18 and older who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and relationship concerns.
Outside of her professional work, Kristi treasures time with her family. She is a proud mother of three, a devoted pet owner to two dogs and a cat, and a loving grandmother. Her grandson holds a very special place in her heart. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing with loved ones—especially when it involves spending time together by the pool.
