Hi! I’m Hope Wilhite, MA

Hope’s counseling approach is grounded in authenticity, intentionality, and warmth. She views the counseling space as an avenue for powerful growth, honest self-reflection, and courageous movement toward change. Hope believes that every person carries experiences, values, and perspectives that shape who they are and how they see the world. For Hope, it is a weighty honor and privilege to walk alongside individuals as they begin to unravel past hurt, unresolved grief, and life’s uncertainties. Hope is committed to upholding a consistently safe, welcoming, and honest environment so that those real and raw conversations can happen.

Hope graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is currently working toward full licensure as an LPC-MHSP in the state of Tennessee. She has worked with individuals that have experienced significant stress, anxiety, faith issues, and relational struggle. Hope also has a passion for supporting healthy family life. She has worked closely with families navigating ADHD and Autism diagnoses, parenting challenges, and family member connection. Hope enjoys working with a wide range of ages and life stages, including children, adolescents, and adults.

For specific counseling modalities, Hope works from a strengths-based and integrative lens, primarily utilizing interventions from Person-centered, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). When specifically working with children, Hope leans into a Solution-focused and Child-Centered Play Therapy approach. For those that are interested in receiving counseling through a Christian lens, Hope welcomes the opportunity to thoughtfully integrate these principles and values into the counseling process. She recognizes the role that faith can play in personal healing, transformation, and connection. This integration is always guided by the client’s preferences and comfort level, working to strengthen and take ownership of their therapeutic journey.  Hope is committed to intentionally tailoring her counseling approach to best meet the needs of her clients and their desired goals.

Hope enjoys time spent outside and in community with others! Whether it’s hiking, playing soccer, or basketball, she loves to be active. She also values spending quality time with her husband, discovering new coffee brewing methods, and exploring national parks with her closest friends and family!
